Cacao’s Sire is German Chocolate M, his Dam is Franks Alyssa’s Princess whose sire was Country Frank (Kowboy was also sired by Country Frank) we like the Country Frank bloodline. Cacao is full of energy and mischief you see him thinking about what he’s going to do next while he’s looking around.

Cacao spent his first year at the farm in our open air barn with plenty of pasture time-he was handled daily. He spent June 2011 in a good friends pasture with several (4) mares in foal. He not only learned what not to do with the mares, one of them is a retired cutting horse who took great delight in using Cacao for practice. So not only did he learn to behave like a gentleman but he can now cut and run with the best of them – you might say he has developed a greater speed of body and mind.

As you can see in the video below his mane and tail are turning back
to the beautiful silver as a he turns into a 2 year old.

NOTE: Cacao will be heterozygous Silver Dapple producer and bred to the correct mares he will produce Silver Dapples. He was picked by Brandreth Farms to be a herd sire because of his bloodlines, disposition and gait. His color was just icing on the cake for us.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.
